The Brief
The medical college required a modern website to present courses, faculty profiles, and an admissions guide clearly. Alongside the public website, I also contributed to five internal systems used across the institution: QEC Portal, Admission Portal, Staff Attendance System, Student Attendance System, and IT Inventory Store.
The Challenge
- Outdated information architecture that made it hard to find course details.
- Poor mobile and accessibility support for prospective students.
- Complex content managed inconsistently across pages.
- Multiple internal workflows needed dedicated systems for quality control, admissions, attendance, and inventory tracking.
The Solution
I built a WordPress custom theme with a clear content model for courses, faculty, and events. Improvements included searchable course pages, structured faculty profiles, accessible markup (ARIA roles and better semantics), and an events calendar. In parallel, I contributed to the QEC Portal, Admission Portal, Staff Attendance System, Student Attendance System, and IT Inventory Store so each team could work with a more focused workflow. The CMS was organized so staff can update admissions timelines and course content without developer help.
